CD’s are the most purchased things when it comes to computers and technology. Every software, e-book or guide for almost everything is now available in CD’s. Catalogs and booklets have long been ruled out. But once the compact disks have fed their purpose, they simply go to waste. We have no use for them anymore and we tend to throw them in garbage. However, these useless CD’s can be turned in amazing DIY projects after recycling. The varieties of ways you can accomplish such tasks are mentioned below.
(1) Decorative Lamps:
We know that CD’s have shinny surface that reflects light very well. Attach transparent beads or pearls all around the edges of the CD using glue. Create medium height walls using these transparent beads. Now insert a connected small bulb inside the central hole in the CD.
(2) Wall Hangings for Kids:
Kids are very fond of cartoonist wall hangings around their rooms. You can easily use CD’s to create such cartoon faced wall hangings. Attach some ribbons and use further attachments to create the eyes, ears and nose of the cartoon.
(3) Table Tops:
The shiny sides of useless CD’s can be used to create abstract table top designs after recycling. This can be done by cutting small cubical shaped pieces out of these CD’s and pasting them over the top of table to create shiny patterns.
(4) Colorful Decorative Wall Hangings:
This DIY project for recycled CD’s is about creating colorful decorative wall hangings by using CD’s that are now useless. Use ribbons, paper cuttings and beads. Attach them in the desired patterns or designs on the CD’s and hang them on your interior walls.
(5) Intriguing Decoration Pieces:
By using decorative laces, pearls and various other decorative stones you can compile enchanting and beautiful table decoration pieces out of recycled CD’s.
(6) Giant Artificial Wall Clock:
Combine and align multiple CD’s to form an abstract shape. Now attach artificial clock hands in the middle to give it a clock like look.
(7) Acrylic Painted Decoration:
Similarly, arrange the CD’s together in form of a frame. Use acrylic or glass paints to make unique patterns and designs on it. Attach the frame on the wall as a decoration piece.
