Major portion of our daily trash comprises of plastic bottles. These bottles might be edible oil bottles or beverages. People simply throw them all away without considering the multiple productive ways of recycling them and re-utilizing them for various purposes. This article concentrates on a few best methods of productive recycling of plastic bottles that any person can achieve as these methods are categorized as DIY. The term DIY means “Do-It-Yourself”, which clarifies that the below mentioned recycling techniques are so easy that almost anyone can do them.
(1) External wall decoration:
Here’s one very innovative way of how you can use the plastic bottle waste in order to decorate walls of your gardens, hallways or even garages. Cut a medium sized oval in the middle of each bottle in order to create a second opening. Now fill the bottles with soil and plant them little plants and seeds according to your preference. Hang them in any pattern across the wall where each bottle faces sideways.
(2) Innovative flower pots:
Another DIY recycling technique related to plastic bottles is using them as creative and decorative flower pots. Just cut an oval in each bottle from both the sides. Fill half the bottle with soil and then add a plant through the holes in each bottle. You may hang multiple such DIY plastic bottle flower pots on a wall or you may use them as single pieces to decorate corners.
(3) Recycled plastic bottle half-flower-pots:
Here’s a very easy yet creative technique of recycling your plastic bottles into decorative flower pots. Cut each bottle into half. Use the top half of the bottle. Make sure the caps are tightly on. Use tape or any other decorative paper to put along the walls of these bottle halves. Now position each of these upside down and fill them with soil. You’ll only see the decorative paper or tape design from the outside and the soil won’t be visible. Now put it plants inside each of these and you’ll have DIY recycled plastic bottles in the form of decorative flower pots.
