Make a Beautiful Rocking Birds with Waste Card Boxes

Kids often love birds and try to catch them. Though toys cannot replace the real birds but a creative activity can give satisfaction to them. In this way they not only get busy but also learn recycling art. Beautiful rocking birds made with card are a beautiful addition to you recycled things collection. For it you will require:

• Waste boxes of hard card
• Colored tissues, crepe paper, stones and beads
• Small piece of orange or red card for beak
• Stripes of colored paper or magazine for tail of bird
• Glue and scissors

For preparing bird open the box and make it straight. Take a round plate of medium size and draw a circle on card. Cut this circle from card. Fold it in half leaving inner plain side of card as outer of circle. Take the color paper pieces and stick these on the round edge of folded circle to make breast of bird. Now cut the orange or red chart into a small triangle and glue it to the folded circle as beak. On the opposite side make a small cut in the fold of card. Take a colored paper or magazine page and cut it into stripes. Fix one bunch of stripes in the cut as tail of bird. Take a black bead or stone and fix it near beak as eye. Round edge of circle can be more decorated with beads and stickers. Beautiful rocking bird is ready. You may adopt different options for decorating your bird.
